ASSIGNMENT #2: Capturing Color:
Shoot and upload to your Tumblr 6 images that capture the essence of each of these colors. (click on color for description)
red • orange • yellow • green • blue • violet
Label each image on your Tumblr for the color it represents. ALSO, use the WORD LIST (link to handout here) on the back of this page to give your image a secondary, more descriptive color label. For instance, what kind of red did you capture? Is it ruby? Burgundy? Fire-engine? Think about how these terms impact the emotional quality of the photo.
****Each image should have a predominant color (i.e., For instance, if you are creating a photo to represent red, red should be the dominant color, not just a small thing in the distance. Fill the frame with the color).

Grading will be based on these criteria:
o Quality – Is your image in focus? Is it color balanced? Is it well exposed, or too dark/light? Did you rush to finish or take your time? Is it well crafted?
o Creativity – Is the composition of your image engaging? Does it hold your attention? Can you tell that you are the author of this photo? Is the work original, innovative, or daring? Or is it nondescript, average, or everyday? Does it lack a sense of conceptual focus?
